Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his Omani counterpart, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, stressed the need to maintain consultations between Tehran and Muscat to help strengthen peace and stability in the region.
Araghchi and Albusaidi held a telephone conversation on Friday, discussing bilateral relations as well as regional developments.
The two foreign ministers emphasized the importance of continued consultations between Iran and Oman in order to contribute to the promotion of peace and stability across the region, Iranian media reported.

Omani Foreign Ministry said the call addressed the latest regional developments and ways to create a conducive environment for resuming dialogue and negotiations, with the aim of bridging differences and reaching peaceful solutions to outstanding issues that consider the interests of all parties.

“The two ministers also discussed developments regarding navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and emphasized the importance of continuing discussions to reach practical understandings that support the resumption of freedom of navigation, the smooth flow of traffic, and the security and stability of the region,” the Omani ministry added.
