As the 60-day ceasefire deadline is expiring Monday, the US President Donald Trump told Fox News on Monday that Iran should surrender.
“I have no time schedule,” Trump said, “I’m not in a hurry. “Midterms have nothing to do with my thinking,”
“They should put up the white flag of surrender,” Trump said in a phone interview, claiming to have the IRGC backchannel talks that bypass mediators and Iranian political officials.
Trump also threatened to bomb Oman heavily if it “gets in the way”, despite the fact that Muscat is the main mediator and holding a direct negotiation with Tehran on the joint mechanism to administer the Strait of Hormuz.
The US President further alleged that his army does not not suffer from depletion of munitions, saying: “What we’ve used is only peanuts.”
