Hamas Resistance Movement hailed on Monday the joint statement issued by the foreign minister of UAE, Qatar, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, KSA, and Egypt to denounce the Israeli rejection of the US plan for Gaza.
What follows is the full text of Hamas statement:
The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, welcomes the joint statement issued by the foreign ministers of the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Republic of Indonesia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Republic of Turkey, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Arab Republic of Egypt. The statement clearly condemns the Israeli government’s rejection of the Roadmap for completing the implementation of US President Donald Trump’s plan and holds it responsible for obstructing efforts to end the war and achieve security and stability in the region.
We appreciate the statement’s emphasis on the necessity of the full and immediate implementation of the Roadmap, and the continued active role of the United States, the UN Security Council, and mediators in ensuring its implementation, preventing the Israeli government from obstructing it or reneging on its commitments, and proceeding with the requirements of the second phase according to the agreed-upon arrangements and timetables.
We also appreciate the ministers’ clear stance in rejecting the Israeli government’s attempts to deny the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and the establishment of their fully sovereign and independent state with Jerusalem as its capital. The statement affirms that the continuation of the occupation, annexation policies, settlement expansion, and the imposition of facts on the ground undermine the chances of achieving peace, security, and stability in the region.
This important position calls for building upon it with effective political and diplomatic action, and continuing to exert pressure to compel the occupying government to implement what has been agreed upon, to stop the suffering of our people, and to begin the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, ultimately enabling our Palestinian people to exercise their legitimate national rights.
