Israeli Enemy Flagrantly Breaches Lebanon Ceasefire: Martyrs in Drone Strikes in South

An Israeli drone strike killed a civilian in south Lebanon on Friday, hours after an earlier fatal strike as a series of attacks left further destruction in a fresh and explicit breach of the 2024 ceasefire.

Lebanese Health Ministry announced Israeli strikes in Al-Mansouri on Friday morning and in Maifadoun late on Thursday left two martyrs.

Al-Manar correspondent reported an Israeli drones strike targeted a truck in the southern Lebanese town of Al-Mansouri, in Tyre district, on Friday morning.

Earlier on Thursday night, another Israeli drone struck a car in the southern town of Maifadoun, near Nabatieh.

Local media identified the martyr as Walid Olleik, a Taxi driver who was known for his goodwill toward the Lebanese Army and Internal Security Forces, often driving personnel free of charge.

An Israeli glider dropped a sound bomb on Aita Al-Shaab border town, South Lebanon, according to Al-Manar reporter.

UNIFIL Statement

Meanwhile on Friday, United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) issued a statement to note that an Israeli tank fired Friday 30 bullets at its post in Kfarchouba town, South Lebanon.

“The bullets hit a sentry post and one penetrated one of the position’s living accommodations, probably after ricocheting. Fortunately, the occupant was not present when the bullet entered, and no one was hurt.”

UNIFIL asked the Israeli occupation army to stop its fire through our liaison mechanisms, reminding of its obligation to ensure the safety of peacekeepers and to cease activities that endanger them and their positions.

“Any actions that put peacekeepers at risk are serious violations of Security Council resolution 1701, and undermine the stability we are working to achieve.”

UNIFIL had warned that Israeli ‘activities’ in the Lebanese territory “put local civilians at risk and are a violation of Security Council resolution 1701.”

In a post on its account on X platform, the UNIFIL cited an Israeli bomb attack near the international forces who were along with the Lebanese Army on Thursday working to dismantle explosive devices planted earlier in the day in the southern town of Adaisseh.

Friday attacks by the Israeli enemy followed a series of strikes and incursions. The occupation army destroyed on Thursday two residential buildings in Western Bekaa, following so-called “evacuation orders”.

The attacks were preceded by Israeli incursions into Lebanese border towns, where houses were blown up and drones dropped bombs.

The Israeli enemy continues to bomb Lebanon, mainly the country’s south, almost daily and maintains occupation over five posts along the southern border, in violation of a ceasefire deal reached following the 2024 Israeli war.

At least 435 people have been martyred by Israeli attacks since November 2024, according to toll released by Lebanon’s Health Ministry.

Enemy forces also stage infiltrations into Lebanese territory on daily bases, blowing up houses in the border towns.
