Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s attacks on several areas of southern Lebanon, which killed 11 people, including three children and two women from the same family, and wounded several others.

In a statement on Saturday night, Baghaei condemned the brutal attacks carried out by the Zionist regime against various areas of Lebanon, including Ansar, the Ali Al-Taher Heights, Nabatieh Al-Fawqa, and Deir Al-Zahrani.

The Israeli attacks resulted in the martyrdom of eleven people, including three children and two women from one family, the wounding of several others, and the destruction of residential and civilian sites.

Referring to the ongoing military aggression by the Zionist regime against Lebanon and the violation of the Arab country’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity, Baghaei described the continued silence and inaction of the United Nations Security Council in the face of flagrant violations of international law and international humanitarian law as regrettable.

He also stressed the necessity of halting the Israeli aggressive actions in southern Lebanon and its immediate withdrawal from the occupied areas of Lebanon.

The spokesperson then praised the “honorable resistance of the Lebanese people,” recalled Lebanon’s legal and legitimate right to use all means to defend its entity against the aggression of the occupying regime, and emphasized the solidarity of the Islamic Republic of Iran with Lebanon in defending its national sovereignty, independence, and dignity.
