Leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah Movement, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badreddin al-Houthi, said that the repeated insults against the Holy Quran and the burning of the Noble Book represent “a hostile stance against Islam and Muslims,” calling on Islamic countries and peoples to take pressure measures, including political and economic boycotts, and to strengthen their connection to the Holy Quran and uphold its status and sanctity.
Sayyed al-Houthi began his statement with the words of Allah Almighty:
{Say, “O People of the Scripture, do you resent us except [for the fact] that we have believed in Allah and what was revealed to us and what was revealed before and because most of you are defiantly disobedient?” (59) Say, “Shall I inform you of [what is] worse than that as penalty from Allah? [It is that of] those whom Allah has cursed and with whom He became angry and made of them apes and pigs and slaves of Taghut. Those are worse in position and further astray from the sound way.”} [Al-Ma’idah: 59-60]
Truthful is Allah the Most High, the Most Great.
He said that “the American-Zionist insults against the Holy Quran, the blessed Book of Allah and the most sacred of all that is on earth, the light that dispels all darkness, and the guidance that saves humanity from misguidance” are being repeated through the burning of the Noble Mushaf. He considered that this “reveals the Zionists’ explicit enmity toward all sacred principles, their hatred of the divine message, their disdain for noble morals, and their spite for all values of goodness and justice.”
He added that “this is the essence of their problem with the Holy Quran,” noting that the Zionist Jews and those loyal to them in America and the West realize that the Quran is “the Book of Light that exposes darkness, reveals their true nature to human societies, and immunizes those who are guided by it against their misguidance.”
He pointed out that the Holy Quran “preserves human dignity through its innate values, the purification of souls, and education in noble morals,” and protects those guided by it from “servitude to Taghut,” and elevates them to fulfill their role of stewardship on earth in accordance with Allah’s teachings. It also contains “the foundations, concepts, and teachings by following which humanity can establish justice in life, and be delivered from tyranny, injustice, and criminality.”
Sayyed al-Houthi described the problem of “the Zionist Jews and those loyal to them in America and the West” with the Holy Quran as lying in its light, saying they are “darkness-loving like bats of the night, that are terrified by daylight and the light of the sun.” He also said their problem with it lies in “its purity and the wholesomeness of its teachings,” as opposed to “filth and impurity.”
He added that their problem with the Quran’s teachings that establish justice in life comes “in proportion to the tyranny, savagery, criminality, and injustice that they themselves embody.”
He considered that “the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, their crimes in the Gaza Strip, and the repeated scandals in the world” expose their reality, and are “evidence and confirmations of what Allah exposed about them in the Holy Quran.”
He affirmed that “the honor of the Holy Quran, the blessed and sacred Book of Allah, is not diminished by their burning of the Mushaf,” considering that these insults are “evidence of their disbelief, baseness, degradation, and darkness,” and express “their spite and hatred for it.”
He added that these insults indicate “their extreme distress and rage at its light and great guidance, which guarantees humanity liberation and salvation from their hegemony and from servitude to them, and ensures human elevation that protects it from their filth and corruption.”
Sayyed al-Houthi accused the enemies of repeating “their major crime of insulting the Holy Quran and burning the Noble Mushaf,” stressing that this is “a hostile stance against Islam and Muslims, and part of their hostile acts within their conspiracies and plots against Muslims,” which include “the soft, satanic, misleading, and corrupting war,” as well as “the hard, savage, and criminal war.”
He noted that these acts are carried out under slogans such as “Changing the Middle East” and “Establishing Greater Israel,” alongside attempts to “prevent the spread of the light of Islam in the rest of the countries of the world.”
He stressed that the responsibility of Muslims toward “this manifest enemy” is “a religious responsibility,” considering it necessary to repel the evil of “a clear enemy, who openly declares hostility, an aggressor, an oppressor, a corrupter and misguider, who poses a danger to the Islamic nation in its religion and its worldly affairs.”
He criticized “the inaction of the Islamic world in taking a pressure stance to prevent insulting the most sacred thing on earth, the Holy Quran, the Glorious Book of Allah,” considering that to be “a grave dereliction and a major sin with serious consequences for the nation.”
He said that Islamic countries are capable, if they take a stance “at the level of political and economic boycott, officially and seriously,” of pressuring America and Western countries to stop these practices.
He also called on Islamic peoples to “activate the economic boycott of American goods, and the goods of countries that sponsor the criminal Zionist activity of insulting the Holy Quran,” considering that this would push those countries to back down from these practices.
Sayyed al-Houthi called on Muslims to strengthen their relationship with the Holy Quran, “so that they attain a high degree of awareness and insight, and rise to their sacred and great responsibilities,” which would restore to them “their global, missionary role,” and make them, in his words, “worthy of Allah’s support, aid, and victory.”
He noted that “the Zionist Jews and those loyal to them in America and the West” have made “targeting their relationship with the Holy Quran, seeking to undermine its status and sanctity in their hearts, and seeking to separate them from being guided by it” a top priority in their hostile activities against Muslims.
In contrast, he called for “caring for the Holy Quran, strengthening the connection to it, consolidating its sanctity, and becoming cultured with its culture” to be at the top of Muslims’ priorities.
Regarding Yemen, Sayyed al-Houthi said that “our dear people, the people of faith, wisdom, and jihad” are among the peoples most committed to the Holy Quran, stemming from their faith identity. He pointed out that their stance on the insult to the Holy Quran appeared in “our dear people’s demonstrations, activities, awareness and mobilization cultural events, media programs, in activating the economic boycott, in their faith-based jihadi and liberatory path, and in their rejection of subservience to the enemies of Islam and Muslims.”
He added that Yemen continues to “raise the banner of jihad for the sake of Allah, and hostility toward the enemies of Allah and the enemies of humanity, the imams of disbelief [America and Israel],” affirming the continuation of the path “with full steadfastness, seeking help from Allah Almighty, trusting in Him, and relying upon Him.”
He noted that the statement of the Yemeni Scholars Association expressed “the faith-based stance of our dear people,” stressing the importance that the stance on the insult to the Holy Quran and the practical actions related to it be “among the most prominent topics in the events and activities that our dear people hold on the occasion of the upcoming birth anniversary of the Noble Prophet, and also in demonstrations and vigils.”
