At least 18 people died this Monday in the Colombian city of Pereira, in the center of the country, due to a magnitude 7.4 earthquake, according to the city’s mayor, Mauricio Salazar, in statements to local media.
With at least two dead in the city of Manizales, the toll from Pereira brings the total number of confirmed deaths following the earthquake to at least 20.
