Menasheh, Asher, Dan, and Naphtali are the names of the Jewish tribes that the Zionist invaders claim that they had settled in South Lebanon, reaching Sidon City, during the alleged Second Temple period.
Such claims aim at securing a “historical right” for the Zionists to return to Lebanon and consider it as the “land of ancestors” just as the case of Palestine.
These claims are no longer theoretical interpretations, yet they have become settler policies implemented by the extremist movements, like Uri Tzafon, with the support of the Zionist government.
Uri Tzafon — whose name means “Awaken, wind from the north” in Hebrew — seeks to push the Zionist entity’s northern border to the Litani River, about 30 kilometers north of the Blue Line. Several figures on Israel’s far right have advocated for the creation of settlements in Lebanon. In May, Israeli “National Security” Minister Itamar Ben Gvir said ‘Israel’ had a “settlement plan for Lebanon.”
The movement has been benefitting recently from the Israeli occupation of dozens of South Lebanon towns in order to carry out several settler activities.
A video showing four women from Uri Tzafon swimming in the Hasbani River in southern Lebanon has circulated widely on social media over the past 24 hours. It marks the second recent incursion by members of this far-right Israeli movement, which brings together several Israeli settler families and advocates for the establishment of settlements in Lebanon.
Youssof Yitzhak Bin David, a member of Uri Tzafon Movement, said: “We consider that South Lebanon is part of the land of Israel, just as Tel Aviv, Ra’anana, and Al-Quds.”

Shinoer Weber, a Zionist political analyst, underlined the importance of building settlements in South Lebanon, where the Zionist soldiers are deployed, in order to defend Israel’s security.
