More than 1,250 Palestinians have been martyred in Gaza Strip since the ceasefire agreement took effect on October 11, 2025, according to the latest figures from the Ministry of Health, as Israeli occupation forces continue to violate the terms of the fragile truce.
In its daily statistical report issued Wednesday, the Ministry confirmed that the post-ceasefire death toll has risen to 1,254, with an additional 4,121 injuries recorded and 804 bodies retrieved from the wreckage across the enclave.
Over the past 24 hours alone, hospitals in the Strip received four bodies two of whom succumbed to their previous injuries and two whose remains were recovered from collapsed structures alongside one new injury case, the Ministry detailed.
Officials underscored that a substantial number of victims remain unaccounted for, trapped beneath mounds of rubble or lying in inaccessible streets. Ambulance and civil defense crews are severely hampered in their search-and-recovery efforts due to persistent instability and ongoing military activity on the ground.
Since the outbreak of the Israeli military offensive on October 7, 2023, the cumulative death toll in Gaza has tragically reached 73,381, with 174,231 documented injuries, based on the Ministry’s latest official statistical update.
The ceasefire, already under strain, faces repeated breaches by Israeli occupation forces, according to local authorities. Meanwhile, the stringent siege on the Strip continues to choke off the entry of humanitarian aid, relief supplies, and urgent medical necessities. International humanitarian agencies have repeatedly warned that the deepening blockade is accelerating an already catastrophic humanitarian crisis, pushing the population closer to the brink of famine and systemic healthcare collapse.
