Israeli occupation forces have carried out raids and abductions across several areas of the West Bank, while illegal Israeli settlers separately attacked Palestinian communities south of Nablus on the northern side of the occupied territory.

According to the Palestinian Shehab News Agency, occupation forces stormed residential districts in several areas throughout the day, conducting house-to-house searches while deploying live ammunition, stun grenades, and heavy tear gas. The Palestine Red Crescent Society confirmed that a Palestinian civilian sustained a gunshot wound during an army incursion in eastern Nablus, where troops also hurled tear gas canisters at local residents as operations intensified.

In the northern West Bank, military maneuvers targeted the Jenin governorate towns of Qabatiya, Fahma, and Kafr Ra’i, with forces firing stun grenades during sweeps in the latter two localities. Concurrently, troops raided the towns of Bal’a and Deir al-Ghusun in the Tulkarm governorate, where they forcibly entered and damaged the home of Muayyad Sha’ban, the head of the local committee opposing the so-called separation wall and illegal settlement expansion.

Further south, the al-Far’a refugee camp near Tubas was placed under an extended military siege, with troops subsequently raiding and ransacking multiple residential homes. In the northwestern governorate of Qalqilya, Israeli occupation forces abducted six Palestinian youths during a raid on the town of Azzun, later pushing into the Kafr Saba and Zaid neighborhoods to search additional properties. Among those detained were former prisoners Aws Abu Ali and Saji Abu Athaba, both of whom were taken from their homes in the respective neighborhoods.

Operations also extended to the southern West Bank, where troops attacked the al-Fawwar refugee camp in al-Khalil (Hebron) and searched several homes, while simultaneously raiding the town of Tarqumiya to the northwest. Local sources further reported that enemy forces swooped on the al-Masna’a neighborhood in the city of Jericho, located in the territory’s east-central region.
Settler attacks on Palestinian communities
Separately, illegal Israeli settlers carried out violent assaults against the villages of Talfit and Jalud, south of Nablus. The settlers broke into Palestinian homes, setting multiple houses and vehicles ablaze. Graphic footage released after the attacks depicted cars engulfed in towering flames. Bashar al-Qaryouti, a local Palestinian activist, reported that the assailants torched at least three vehicles, attacked residential properties, and inflicted significant damage on the area’s electricity network.
This heightened military and settler aggression comes against the backdrop of Israel’s ongoing war of genocide on the Gaza Strip, which began in October 2023. According to official Palestinian figures, at least 1,179 Palestinians have been killed, 12,666 wounded, and approximately 24,000 others abducted across the occupied West Bank over the past ten months, as violence continues to spiral unchecked.
