Israeli Strikes Kill 22 Palestinians in Gaza, Medical Sources Say

At least 22 Palestinians were martyred and dozens wounded over the past 24 hours as the Israeli occupation continued its violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, marking the 298th day of ongoing breaches, according to Palestinian medical sources.

The latest Israeli attacks targeted several areas across Gaza, including Gaza City, Deir al-Balah, and Jabalia, further adding to the growing number of casualties since the ceasefire took effect.

Israeli occupation forces led to the martyrdom of four Palestinians after bombing their vehicle behind the Sharia Court in central Gaza City.

Three Palestinians were also killed and six others wounded in an Israeli strike on Al-Thawra Street in the Al-Rimal neighborhood, west of Gaza City.

In central Gaza, brothers Mohammad and Hazem Atiya Jabr were killed after their vehicle was targeted at the entrance of Deir al-Balah.

Another Palestinian was martyred in an Israeli strike near Al-Yaman Al-Saeed Hospital in Jabalia refugee camp, joining his father and three brothers who had previously been killed.

Palestinian medical sources also announced the martyrdom of two Palestinians who succumbed to wounds sustained in earlier Israeli attacks: Ahmad Mu’min Al-Najjar, injured in a strike in Jabalia al-Balad days earlier, and Saeed Ahmad Al-Batsh, who had been wounded around a month ago.

Hamas, PIJ condemn continued Israeli attacks on Gaza

The Palestinian resistance movements Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) condemned the continued Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip, accusing the occupation of escalating its violations of the ceasefire agreement and targeting civilians.

Hamas said the ongoing strikes, which have martyred Palestinians across different areas of Gaza, demonstrate Israel’s refusal to abide by its commitments and its continued pursuit of escalation despite the declared truce.

PIJ also condemned the attacks, describing them as part of Israel’s continued aggression against the Palestinian people and a further breach of the ceasefire arrangements.

Both movements stressed that the Israeli escalation would not alter the Palestinian people’s resistance and steadfastness in confronting the occupation.

Gaza ceasefire death toll continues to rise

Since the ceasefire agreement was announced on October 11, Israeli violations have led to the martyrdom of 1,230 Palestinians and wounded 4,076 others, while rescue teams have recovered the bodies of 804 martyrs from under the rubble, according to Palestinian figures.

The overall death toll from the Israeli war on Gaza since October 7, 2023 has reached 73,356 martyrs, with 174,185 Palestinians wounded.

The continued Israeli attacks come despite the declared ceasefire, with Palestinian authorities repeatedly accusing the occupation of maintaining military operations and targeting civilians across the Strip.
