In the early hours of Thursday morning, the United States launched a series of aggressive airstrikes targeting various areas across southern Iran, leaving two people wounded on Qeshm Island and at least three others trapped beneath the rubble of a residential building, where search-and-rescue operations remain ongoing.

Iran’s official news agency IRNA confirmed that two individuals were injured as a direct result of the American assault on Qeshm Island. The deputy governor of Hormozgan province stated that a hostile attack struck a residential building on the island, stressing that emergency teams are continuing their efforts to locate the three people still unaccounted for under the debris.
In Khuzestan province, the deputy governor announced that areas surrounding the cities of Shadegan, Ahvaz, and Abadan came under US missile strikes, and further confirmed that the outskirts of Arvandkenar were also subjected to American aggression.
Iranian state television reported hearing two explosions in the port city of Bandar Abbas, indicating they were likely caused by defensive activities carried out by Iranian armed forces. Explosions were also reported on the islands of Abu Musa and Kish, as well as in the maritime zone around Qeshm Island.
The Tasnim news agency reported continued heavy US missile launches from Kuwaiti territory directed toward Iran, while the Fars news agency confirmed an explosion in Bushehr province and later reported multiple blasts on Kish Island. Nour News also reported several explosions in the city of Ahvaz.

Earlier, the US military announced it had launched attacks on Iran, with US Central Command stating that its forces targeted dozens of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) sites. Washington also confirmed that more than 50,000 troops remain deployed across the Middle East.
The United States continues its strikes on Iranian territory, violating the memorandum of understanding reached in Switzerland last June, after renewing its aggression following a brief pause of several days.
In response, Iran has retaliated against any American aggression by targeting US military bases and strategic sites throughout the region. Tehran is also confronting attempts by vessels to illegally transit the Strait of Hormuz, which remains closed due to the ongoing aggression instigated by Washington.
In the context of Iran’s response, state television revealed that the missile strikes targeting the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan were executed based on intelligence provided by the Khatam al-Anbiya Construction Headquarters. The report detailed that the operation came after Washington redeployed A-10 and F-15 fighter jets along with new military systems to the base, and that the IRGC Aerospace Force conducted a “surprise operation” during which it successfully destroyed its designated targets.
Iranian television emphasized that all movements of US forces in the region remain “under surveillance,” and that the IRGC and the Iranian army will strike identified targets “as quickly as possible” if necessary.
