The Syrian interim President Ahmad Al-Sharaa dismissed any military intervention in Lebanon, highlighting contacts with the Lebanese government to discuss solutions that will help bring Lebanon to safety.
In a televised interview, Al-Sharaa said, “The Lebanese solution may not be military; anarchy in Lebanon will affect Syria.”
We are afraid of the expansion of the war zone in the region and seek a security agreement with ‘Israel’, he said.
The security agreement with ‘Israel’ will not include concession of right to occupied Golan Heights, Al-Sharaa added.
Syria’s relations with Iraq are witnessing a steady progress, Al-Sharaa said.
