IRGC Keeps Strait of Hormuz Closed, Armed Citizens Flocking to Defend Islands against Any Ground Invasion: Iranian State Media

Iran warned that in no way will we allow America, as a foreign power outside the region, to interfere in the Strait of Hormuz (Gallo Images).

Iranian Radio and Television Authority reported that large numbers of armed citizens are flocking to Abu Musa Island from all provinces to defend the Iranian islands, adding that the entire Persian Gulf is under constant surveillance and monitoring by the Iranian armed forces.

“The islands of Abu Musa, Greater Tunb, and Lesser Tunb are currently fully prepared for comprehensive defense. Navigation in the Strait of Hormuz continues to be managed according to Iranian arrangements.”

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy is keeping the Strait of Hormuz closed, preventing any ship or boat from crossing, the Authority added.

“The Islamic Republic’s intention remains to maintain the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. The US military is inciting some ships to use an illegal route in the southern waters of the Persian Gulf. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy is firmly intercepting ships attempting to commit navigational violations and issuing them alternative routes.”

It is worth noting that US aggression targeted two or three locations today in Sirik and Larak Island.
