The Commander of the Iranian Army, Major General Amir Hatami, announced that “many were waiting for Iran’s defeat, but by the will of God, the Iranian people were granted victory.”
He continued, “We are firing at the Americans, and they must know that Iran is a credible power and that they should acknowledge the dignity of the Iranian people,” affirming that “if the United States’ dirty feet set foot in Iran, we will fight them with all the strength we have.”
Hatami also pointed out that “we know the enemy will not abide by the memorandum of understanding and will commit a foolish act, so we did not hesitate and took steps to improve our combat capabilities,” declaring that “the enemy will deeply regret its ambitions against our country.”
