The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced Tuesday that it has successfully disabled multiple radar systems across Kuwait in the latest phase of its ongoing retaliatory operations against the United States, marking the 24th wave of the military campaign.
In a formal statement, the Corps confirmed that its forces targeted and neutralized “an early-warning radar, a tactical radar complex in the vicinity of Ali al-Salem Airbase, and another radar system on Kuwait’s Bubiyan Island,” effectively rendering all three installations inoperable.
The strikes represent the continuation of Operation Nasr (Victory) 2, which the IRGC has framed as an effort to “clear the region of radar systems” that serve American military objectives. The Corps described the attacks as part of “the operation to punish the aggressor,” emphasizing that the campaign remains ongoing.
In a series of statements released throughout the day, the IRGC detailed an intensified campaign against U.S. military assets in the region, describing the strikes as having brought about a “dark night” for American radar and communications infrastructure. The initial wave targeted a long-range radar site, a communications center, satellite reception systems, and a missile defense radar belonging to what the IRGC termed the “child-killing US military” stationed in Kuwait.
A subsequent strike targeted U.S. air defense assets at Ahmad al-Jaber Airbase, destroying an early warning radar, a missile defense radar system, an FPS-117 radar, a Patriot air defense system, and a satellite communications system supporting air defense operations.
The latest military actions come amid escalating tensions following what Tehran describes as numerous U.S. violations of Iranian territorial integrity since April 7, when President Donald Trump announced a unilateral ceasefire in the broader American-Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic. Iranian officials maintain that these violations have persisted even after the signing of a Pakistan-mediated memorandum of understanding last month, which explicitly requires cessation of aggression on all fronts.
Additionally, the United States has been accused of attempting to facilitate vessel movement outside the maritime route designated by Iran for safe and legal passage through the Strait of Hormuz, offering escorts to vessels navigating through what Tehran considers illegal passageways. Iran’s Armed Forces have responded with uncompromising retaliation to each violation, including those related to maritime traffic in the strategic waterway.
