Hezbollah on Friday dismissed reports claiming the party conveyed positions contradicting its declared principles in meetings with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, describing the reports as “entirely false” and reaffirming its established positions on key issues, including support for Gaza and rejection of direct negotiations with the Israeli enemy.
In a statement, Hezbollah’s Media Relations office said that “a number of reports have recently been circulating in some media outlets concerning positions on certain issues allegedly expressed by Hezbollah officials before the President of the Republic.”
“These positions contradict the party’s established principles and its clear and publicly stated stances,” the statement said, stressing that “what has been reported in this regard is entirely false
The party’s positions “whether publicly stated or expressed in private meetings, are consistent and unwavering on all issues,” the statement read, adding that “a political figure reiterated these reports yesterday during a talk show on a Lebanese television channel.”
The statement specifically highlighted Hezbollah’s position on Gaza, saying its support for the Palestinian people is “a principled, religious, ethical, and humanitarian stance of which Hezbollah is proud.”

Hezbollah’s Media Relations office also reiterated the party’s “absolute rejection of direct negotiations with the Israeli enemy,” maintaining that Hezbollah’s stance on the issue remains unchanged.
