A Lebanese municipal councilor was martyred in south Lebanon on Sunday after his car was deliberately targeted by an Israeli drone, the latest in a series of attacks carried out by the Israeli enemy in violation of the 2024 ceasefire.
An Israeli drone fired a guided missile into a car in the southern city of Bint Jbeil late on Sunday, killing one person, the National News Agency NNA said, citing Lebanese Health Ministry.
Local media identified the martyr as Mohammed Adel Al-Saghir, member of Bint Jbeil’s municipal council.

Earlier on Sunday, the Israeli enemy launched a series of strikes in several areas across south Lebanon. It also issued a so-called “evacuation order” in the southern town of Kfar Hatta. The Israeli fighter jets then bombed the residential building.
The Israeli enemy continues to bomb Lebanon, mainly the country’s south, almost daily and maintains occupation over five posts along the southern border, in violation of a ceasefire deal reached following the 2024 Israeli war.
More than 340 people have been martyred by Israeli attacks since November 2024, according to toll released by Lebanon’s Health Ministry.
