Lebanon recorded 1,498 new COVID-19 cases and five deaths in the past 24 hours, the Health Ministry reported Saturday.

A total of 23,747 tests were administered in the last 24 hours, resulting in an average two-week positivity rate of 8.2 percent.

The report also said that 425 people were in hospital with the virus, including 170 patients in intensive care and 37 on ventilators.

Out of the latest figures, 26 were among travelers arriving in Lebanon.
