Minister of Information, Jamal Jarrah, announced Wednesday that the Cabinet had approved the ministerial statement, in a session held under the chairmanship of President Michel Aoun at Baabda palace.
“President Michel Aoun lauded the completion of the ministerial statement,” Jarrah said while reading out the session’s decisions to reporters.
“For his part, Prime Minister Saad Hariri said that this completion was remarkable, calling for further solidarity within the government,” he continued.
He indicated that the state policy included 17 items, and that most of the modifications were strictly linguistic. Also, a clause on cultural heritage has been added.
“Most of the modifications were related to the language, in order to clarify the item; but no amendment has been made to the essence,” Jarrah added.
